Purple Dead Nettle is a Tennessee native, a far less flavorful cousin to mint and hops. Lacking a pungent, tantalizing flavor profile, this plant is instead packed with polyphenols and essential oils, providing antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and astringent benefits when infused in oil, providing holistic medicinal benefits, a pale green tint, and an earthy foundation to the bouquet.
Joining this local medicinal herb is an infusion made from white clover flowers, also foraged and processed in Nashville. After amassing several pounds of tufted blossoms, we used coconut oil to extract and concentrate the fragrances and holistic benefits within. Not just a fragrant infusion reminiscent of sweet pea, white clover oil contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in topical applications.
